Our Story
With a wealth of Family Experience to rely on, Sash Weights London Ltd is a professionally managed business based in South London – Brixton. We have been hand making all varieties of Timber + Upvc Sash Windows and Doors for Over 40 Years. Our Company Serves South London and Surrounding Areas.
Matthew Scott Crozier Founder and Director started the company having returned from a Career at Sea after seeking a more stable life ashore. After a number of years Managing and Working in his Fathers Workshop Matthew decided to follow in his father’s footsteps as a Bench Joiner / Carpenter and start a business of his own.
At Sash Weights London Ltd It has been Matthew’s passion to continue the work of the family whilst offering newer products and developments that keep true to the values in heritage, originality and building conservation. This is only possible thanks to new technologies and designs such as the uPVC Sliding Sash Windows Range.
After training/working both within the Navy and Day to Day running the operations of the Workshop, Matthew built up enough knowledge and confidence to build his own Company. Matthew often explains his strength to create the Company came from the Discipline and Values Learnt within the Navy as well as being the Son of a Bench Joiner. Being hands on and creative, this inspired him to make a career for himself and to continue his family work & traditions within the construction industry.

Our Workshop
Our London workshop is at the heart of what we do, and it remains the key to the quality that we produce and the service we provide. Unlike many of our competitors we have our very own custom-built workshop in London Brixton & Camberwell. This means we are able to keep lead-times down and don’t rely upon costly foreign imports. We welcome all our customers to come and visit our Arch based Workshop located off John Ruskin Street. Whilst a bit of a dusty atmosphere and very much a working workshop you can see the quality on the bench before you commit to buy. What’s more; experience in the construction industry tells us things don’t always go to plan, building works often bring rise to problems. Due to having our own Workshop here in London we are best placed to mitigate and overcome all problems (Small or Large) and often provide a timely efficient solution in doing so due to having a Workshop. Lastly and Most Importantly it also means we have full control over the products we produce as we are the direct manufacturer. There is no middleman.
